Fall Wreath

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

I'm letting these little owl transition into my fall decor. I found this tutorial the other day for a patchwork wreath. I had some quilting block in the stash my friend, Katy, gave me, so I thought I'd give it a try. My foam wreath had a flattened side unlike the one in the tutorial, but I think it shows off more of the fabric.I trimmed my blocks a bit to have enough for a scrappy bow. The back of my wreath is no where near as neat as the tutorial, but I figure no one will see it except those of you reading this. I'm not a fan of hand sewing, so for something like this I grabbed the trusty hot glue gun, and made speedy work out of it. Seriously, this project probably took less than an hour.

Happy Fall!
