Modkid Claudia

I am excited to have one more make headed for Quilt Market. This is a Modkid paper pattern, Claudia, I had yet to sew.

The fabric is a digital printing of Patty Young's Flit and Bloom fabric line with Riley Blake due out soon. Unfortunately this printing left out some soft gray accents and hummingbirds, but you certainly get a feel for the pretty line.

We had a bit of fun angling to capture the ducks in our photos!

Now that I have made the Claudia in pretty prints, I would love to try it in a solid. Maybe even a nice chambray or seersucker. The details like the paperbag ruffle would really shine I think.

Of course, the belt, collar and sleeve ruffles are fantastic. The pattern also includes sleeve options for changing seasons.

Tandy's mini Melissa shoes are the perfect match!! They've become too small after just a handful of wears, but she still loves them in small doses. If you aren't familiar with the brand, they are a jelly style shoe with a fruit scent. You can imagine the strange looks Tandy gets when she suggests that people should smell her shoes!!

I almost forgot to draw attention to those cute side pockets!!

No need to worry. All models involved, whether human or waterfowl, received treats for being so photogenic.

  1. This is such a cute design! I love the little ruffles at the sleeve and the pockets. Those fabrics are so much fun, too!
