Juliette Pattern Tour

When, Jill of Knee Socks and Goldilocks contacted me about a tour for a pattern collaboration she did with Suz of Sew Pony, I had to jump on board. If you've followed Jill at all, you'll understand why I think we'd have the most fun getting our two little Goldilocks side by side. Since she lives in Canada and I in Texas, I guess we'll have to settle for this virtual arrangement.

Let me introduce you to the Juliette Pattern these lovely ladies conspired to create! The first thing that struck me about it, was the vintage style.

There are so many options to choose from!! The dress can be made sleeveless, short sleeved, 3/4 length sleeves, or long sleeves. It features a classic A-line shape with optional ruffle collar and/or button placket.

The back closes with a simple button and loop.

Tandy loves anything and everything hot pink, so I reached for Patty Young's Primavera line of fabrics. I actually had intended to make an all plaid top, but if you caught my Instagram post, I
botched my plaid matching. I knew I wouldn't be thrilled with that result, so I switched directions to mixed prints and a dress. We were both pretty pleased with the result.

We wandered around our favorite waterfall park for pictures. Throwing in a little exploring tends to make for better photo participation.

This little hidden path lead to a tiny beach like spot next to the water. I was so excited to capture this image with its composition and framing, but I managed to miss the focus. Still working on those momographer skills!

Here are all the details on the Juliette Pattern Sale and Blog Tour: Use DRESSEDINSEWPONY to receive 10 % off any sewpony pattern (until June 2). Be sure to check out the Sew Pony Sewing Contest as well. The prize package is out of this world!! Also, check out all of the other lovely makes along the tour for inspiration.
