It's been quite a weekend at our house. We decided to host a small going away party for some good friends of ours last night who have been blessed to transfer away from Laredo, and somehow our whole family was not feeling our best. Todd was recovering from a cold, and I managed to get what I think was food poisoning. Avery had a very low grade fever, and she was just plain grumpy. We're assuming she's teething since she doesn't show any other signs of illness. The low point hit Friday night as I was hugging the toilet while Avery was next to me taking a bath. Ugh! When we weren't getting ready for the party on Saturday, we were sitting around debating whether to cancel the whole thing or push our bodies through it. Around 2:30 in answer to prayer, I started to recover. Our high was a wonderful turnout for a fun get together. Thankfully, Avery forgot about whatever was bothering her when distracted by the other guests. She charmed us for a bit then went peacefully to bed.
