Modkid Daphne

I have no idea why it has taken me so long to sew up the Daphne pattern by Modkid. Honestly, it has taken me even longer to blog it. A zip up jumper for fall / winter is just about perfect.

I used prints for this one. The gray is by Josephine Kimberling and the mustard is by Jennifer Paganelli. Both are pretty old prints I've had in my stash. I really think I need to make this in some solid corduroy next. Denim would be a great option too.

I love the zipper front and pretty collar shape. Avery is a fan of the easy closure for dressing too.

I omitted the cuff ties. I love the gathered cuff without it being to poufy. The sleeve length is perfect too! This was a super quick photo shoot. As you can see by the goose bumps on Avery's arm, it was a tad chilly.

I also omitted the pocket flaps. I just wanted the look of the pockets peaking out. I think I widened the opening by 1/4" to accentuate them a little more. (Like I said, it had been a while.)
