Something for Summer

Thursday, March 24, 2011

We're headed for Texas where the temperatures have already tipped over 90 degrees, so I'm packing this little outfit to bring along. I found the easiest pattern in my non-english Bizzkids summer edition to test out. The skirt is pattern number 3424.

Brooklyn Tank and Bizz Kids 3424

I love the pleated details on the side panels. Thank goodness for the little arrows on the pattern pieces or I may have been lost.

The Brooklyn tank pattern is from the book Sewing Clothes Kids Love. I finally tried out some fun stitching with my new machine on the front and back trim.

  1. I'm in love the whole outfit! I ahve been looking at the same sewing book but havn't bought it yet, now I need it! :)

  2. Awww you sure have a lot of cute things here!! Love your posting from last year of the Strawberry/Lemonade party!! Toooo cute! I'm a new baker and always looking for new ideas.
    Those cupcakes were too cute!!

  3. So cute. Love the lettuce look on the shirt.

  4. I love the outfit , but particularly the skirt. What issue of Buzzkids has this pattern? Ilooked and there are several available.

  5. It's adorable. I sew for my girls... It takes me longer, because I have to make 2 of everything... And goodness gracious I can't let one girl know one is finished first. :) would love for you to come visit my blog. I'm following yours. :) Happy sewing!

  6. I finally looked up my order. The skirt was from the Summer 2008 Bizzkids issue. This skirt is shown on the cover in solid green if I remember correctly. Thanks for all the great reviews!

  7. Thanks for the info about the summer 2008 edition.
