Pink - Check. Twirly – Double Check. Avery’s reaction, “Can I wear it to church tomorrow? Can I wear it all day long tomorrow?” Good stuff!!

I knew I liked this knit when I bought it a Banberry Place, but I really loved sewing with it. It is a great weight with moderate stretch, so it sews up nicely. This is the second time I’ve used this European Bizzkids pattern (Summer 2009 – 4103). After the fiasco of the first time, I used my rusty math skills to make a perfect fit between the circle skirt and the dropped waist of the top. I’m loving the result. The skirt portion is basically a double circle skirt with 6 gores and miles of ruffles on the bottom. Do not attempt this without a serger and a ruffler foot!!

Check out that twirl!

Of course, I had to use a favorite vintage button found in my Grandmothers sewing table.

I used the little bit of fabric left over to make Tandy a matching bubble romper. This tutorial for the romper sews up super quick, and I know I’ll be making more of these.
