This is Sandi Henderson's ruffle pants pattern. I have a definite love/hate relationship with this pattern. I mean who could not love these ruffles for a baby girl. This is the second time I've made this pattern. The first time I cut the pattern to fit exactly Avery's size group, 6-12mo. Even though she fit within all of the pattern measurements, I ended up having to finagle the pants to get them on her, and then she was only able to wear them once. This time I made the 18-24 mo size for my 8 month old and adjusted the length. It is still a struggle to pull them on over her thighs and diaper. I don't think I will attempt this pattern again until Avery is walking and out of diapers. The frustration is just too great. On another note, don't you just love this fabric by Tanya Whelan? I plan on making a top to go with the pants, but I couldn't wait to post this picture. Avery may have to forgo the Easter dress for pants this year.
