Colors of Fall

Saturday, October 2, 2010

I am always drawn to spring and summer colors. If you were to look at my fabric stash, that is primarily what you would find. I thought this combination would make a unique fall tunic. It doesn't scream fall with oranges and brown, but it's a bit more subtle. Jona of Fabritopia helped me come up with the combo since it is sometime hard to buy fabrics without seeing them side by side. I was delighted with the result. As for the details, this is the Emily Tunic pattern by Carla Crim and Jennifer Paganelli. The collar fabric is also Jennifer Paganelli, and the body fabric is Sandi Henderson's Meadowsweet.

Single button closures give me the best opportunity to find something unique in my vintage button stash.
