I used my trusty New Look 6845 pattern to begin with. Starting with this idea for drafting a collar, I made up on my own pattern pieces. I learned a lot, and I would do some things different next time. If I do sew this up again, I’ll put together a full tutorial.

I thought the contrast of the geometric print by Sis Boom fabric(Poodle Collection) and the feminine white bow made for a fun combination. I’m thinking of making a sort of blog series when I put something like this together totally inspired by someone else's work. So look for more “vision accomplished” posts to come.
Avery has a special Daddy date night tomorrow night, so she really “needed” a new dress. Can’t wait to get those sweet photos tomorrow!
