Week 2 of Project Run & Play is the Riley Black Chevron Challenge. I mixed my chevron with a little Jennifer Paganelli Marie yellow print. The yellow is a very subtle tone on tone print. I may be addicted to my Japanese pattern book now that I pulled it out for both of these pieces. I used the same book as these shorts.
For the cuff of the pants, I cut a single chevron row from the fabric and appliqued it to the pattern piece before sewing it together.
We were at our family farm in Texas for Easter where it was warm and green.
While I sewed up this outfit, visions of pictures in the bluebonnets danced in my head. I’m so thankful we were able to see them again this year. Nothing beats a field of Texas bluebonnets in the spring.
