Japanese patterns have such simple clean lines that they lend themselves so well to a variety of fabrics. They also leave you with plenty of room to make them your own. I’ve picked a few of my favorite patterns out of the 20 provided in the book to share with you. Love this pullover on the left!
Can’t wait to have fun with plaids and ginghams on this one!
I almost forgot to mention that this book includes patterns for boys.
Here’s that pullover again done up for the boys.
I’ll finish up with the wide leg pants that I sewed up as soon as the book arrived.
The fabric is a super soft chambray I found at Wal-mart.
The pockets and wide hem at the bottom add a great touch to a very simple pattern. These are a size 2 that I shortened slightly for Tandy. She still has some room to grown in them. Somehow, I can’t get used to having one daughter that isn’t off the charts tall!
