Modkid Vivian Nightgown

I didn't think I would like sewing pajamas for my daughters, but it turns out they are the most loved and worn items I make. I won't promise to churn out every sleep item they wear, but I'm much more open to sewing up some nighttime clothing now.

I must say, the Modkid Vivian (affiliate link) will be a go to pattern for nightgowns. It is perfect in this Acorn Valley flannel for winter. A short sleeve version in a soft seersucker would be sweet for summer.

For the nightgown version, the shirtdress collar is switched out for binding.

By omitting the pockets, belt loops, and sleeve tabs, the nightgown sews up extremely fast.

Snaps make it even quicker. I love the fun contrast of these bright orange Kam snaps. Plus, the snaps make it easier for Tandy to dress and undress herself.

The back pleat gives just the right about of a tailored look.

Tandy has one of those sweet imaginations that shows when she talks and sings to her stuffed animals and dolls. I love to watch her in this season.

If you sew up a Vivian Nightgown, be sure to add it to this Pajama Link Up!!
