If spring-like sewing would hasten it’s arrival, I would sew up as many outfit like this as quickly as possible. At least the flowers are bring us some hints of brightness to come! We’re back in the 50’s as I type this. Please excuse the wrinkles in this outfit. This is post two hour plus car rides and one plane ride (long day.)
The v-neck blouse pattern is pattern M from the Girls Style Book. This is the Japanese Pattern book that was published in English that I blogged about here. This is the size 2 without seam allowance added and it’s a tad big in the arm holes. Otherwise, the fit is great. The fabric is an old one of Sandi Henderson’s.
I still love DoGuincho’s bubble shorts pattern. They are so great for play! After I made my top out of this fabric, I went back to Walmart to buy the rest of the bolt. So, there will be more!
We all agree; hurry up Spring!!
Such a precious photo, that last one! Love!
ReplyDeleteThe outfit is so adorable! I've not seen that particular pattern from the book sewn up yet, so it's great to see your beautiful version of it. Spring-like indeed:) And I"m jealous of your 50 degree weather - we're still ion lower 30's in Michigan:(
So gorgeous! Your pictures are dreamy. I hear you, I'm sewing spring stuff with snow on the ground.
ReplyDeleteI was looking for DoGuincho bubble shorts photos on Pinterest when I saw the ones you made for your daughter. They look lovely! She looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteMatching them with a blouse from one of may favorite sewing books was a great idea. I love everything about this spring outfit! Cool but comfy and great to play!
Thank you for sharing my pattern!
