I've been on a search for the perfect semi fitted tee pattern, and more specifically a tshirt dress pattern. With the Panama Tee and Dress pattern by Alina Designs, I think I am getting close.
I've been so inspired by Heidi's and Tori's versions, so I had to give it a try. I opted to sew up a tee before I tackle the dress. I made a size 10 and added 1/2" at the lengthen line. The tee is pretty long as is though. I am 5'-9" for reference. The extra 1/2" has the narrowest part falling right at my waist where it should.
This kelly green solid cotton spandex from Girl Charlee was a dream to sew. The 10 oz weight would be great for a dress version as well. No worries about anything showing through!
There is a little pooling in the back here, so I may go up a size for the dress or explore a sway back adjustment. If you have experience with this, please share your knowledge!
